PLUMBING LEAK INVESTIGATIONS
Locate the source.
Understand the problem.
Understand the problem.
We investigate suspected water leaks in homes, businesses and industrial properties. Whether you’ve noticed moisture on a wall, a wet patch outside or an unexpected increase in water usage, we assess the symptoms and accessible plumbing to help identify where the problem may be coming from.
Hidden leaks are not always directly beneath the visible damp area. Water can travel through building materials before becoming noticeable. We work to narrow down the source, explain our findings and advise on any further access or repairs needed to address the problem.

Your leak detection questions, answered.
Here are some common questions about plumbing leak detection. If you still need more information, get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
How do I know if I have a hidden water leak?
Common signs include unexplained increases in water usage, persistent damp patches, unusual running water sounds and wet areas that do not dry out. These symptoms can have more than one cause, so an assessment helps establish whether plumbing is responsible and where further investigation is needed.
Can you investigate leaks behind walls or underground?
Yes. We can assess suspected leaks in concealed and underground pipework. The approach depends on the pipe’s location, material, accessibility and the symptoms present. Some areas may need to be accessed to confirm the source or carry out a repair.
Will leak detection require breaking walls or lifting paving?
Not necessarily during the initial investigation. We aim to narrow down the likely source before recommending access. However, concealed pipework may still need to be exposed to confirm the problem and complete repairs. We’ll explain the proposed next steps before that work proceeds.
Does leak detection include repairing the leak?
Locating a leak and repairing it are separate parts of the job. Once the source has been identified, we can explain the repair requirements and discuss the scope and cost of the work. Access, pipe condition and the extent of the damage will influence what is needed.
